Since our establishment in 2003, Supervision Group has remained committed to one clear vision: “To empower others to make informed decisions, achieve excellent results, and ultimately live their dreams.”
We began by delivering low-cost, online services to SMSF trustees. At the time, offering live data feeds and up-to-date monthly—sometimes daily—reporting was virtually unheard of. Our technology-first approach quickly set us apart.
As our SMSF services gained momentum, business-owning clients began to ask: “Can you do the same for our business accounts?”
Initially, we hesitated. We wanted to maintain the integrity and quality of our SMSF services. But as technology evolved, so did the opportunity. We soon realised that the same efficiencies we delivered in SMSF could benefit businesses too.
What started as a tailored bookkeeping solution for existing clients soon expanded into a full-service business division—offering daily, weekly, or monthly account updates, and incorporating end-of-year tax and compliance work. By integrating bookkeeping and tax reporting under one roof, we delivered not just convenience—but measurable cost savings.
Traditional accounting often looks backwards—reviewing what happened last quarter or financial year. We had a different vision. We wanted business owners to make real-time decisions with real-time data. Whether it’s payables, receivables, profit and loss, payroll or superannuation, our clients can log in at any time and know exactly where they stand.
We started with one accountant and a bookkeeper. As client demand increased, we scaled our operations and acquired a well-established local accounting practice in 2016.
From the beginning, we embraced cloud technologies and offshore capabilities. This allowed us to build a highly skilled back-office team of bookkeepers and tax professionals from around the globe—without sacrificing quality. In many cases, we were able to pass these savings directly onto our clients, who consistently responded with satisfaction and loyalty.
The acquisition also brought clients who used internal or traditional external bookkeepers. It became clear that outdated bookkeeping methods were a major source of frustration for many businesses. Offering streamlined, cloud-based bookkeeping was the natural next step in our evolution—and perfectly aligned with our vision.
Many businesses have since discovered the benefits: outsourcing bookkeeping and payroll can save tens of thousands of dollars, and improved data flow leads to lower tax and accounting fees.
Today, we continue to grow our business division and are actively acquiring suitable bookkeeping and accounting practices whose clients will benefit from Supervision’s scale, systems, and support.

Clinton Reid had a vision to help people thrive in business and in doing so utilise the benefits of SMSF’s to plan for a comfortable retirement. As such he has established Supervision and its team to provide the essential accounting and bookkeeping services to meet this desire.
As a planner and wanting to better serve his clients, Clinton needed accuracy and immediacy. He also needed compliance standards that meant his clients were in accord with the ATO at all times. As a business owner Clinton also realised that most of these requirements were also essential and hence the suite of services Supervision offers today.
Chris Homer joined the group in 2005 with the goal of implementing ongoing changes. Introduction of business systems to speed up manual tasks and improve accuracy was at the top of the list and it has been a driving force which has pushed Supervision to where it is now.
